Speaking at the radio station, he said, “Can I tell you something in this particular case?”

I’ve already advised him to stay at Liverpool and you have to understand one thing, which is what I’ve been trying to tell you guys, my job is to do my best for whoever asks me to help them whether it’s the player, buying the club or selling the club.

In this particular case, you can choose to believe me or not, I thought his staying was the best outcome.

“It wasn’t supposed to be like that and in the end it got a little ugly with Liverpool which is a pity.”

But an enraged Duncan was quick to tweet and responded with the agent, insisting he shouldn’t trust my career in your hands.

Duncan wrote: “You and I know the truth.

I didn’t have a decision nor did I say because you took it upon yourself to jeopardize my career, toss a local boy out of his childhood club and leave me and my family to pick up all the pieces.

“I have not once talked about this summit in ‘four years’ as it was my main priority to get my career back on track.

But, nevertheless you think you have the right to say my name on a live radio show.

‘I shouldn’t have trusted my career in your hands. I learned my hard lesson there.

“And I only pray that you have learned your trade because it can ruin another career for little boys.”

Duncan signed with Fiorentina shortly after Robbie’s comments – which Liverpool denied – in 2019 have struggled to make an impact league.

In January 2020, Duncan changed agents and signed with German agency SportsTotal.

Later that year, Duncan signed a three-year deal with Derby but only appeared once.

After his financially troubled stint with the Rams, Duncan signed with Spanish third-division club Real Palumbidica Linens this summer.
