Caratini raises beer machines on Rox, Counsell earns 600

DENVER (AP) – There’s no other way to spin it: clutch catcher Victor Caratini showed up not only on the board but by offering him words of wisdom about spin rate.

Karattini hit the green light from three runs in the sixth inning for the Milwaukee Brewers, helping Craig Concel to their 600th managerial win in a 6-4 win over the Colorado Rockies on Monday.

Counsell reached a milestone on a roller coaster, trailing 3-0 after the first half, rallying and then escaping a rule-laden jam in eighth place by calling Devin Williams closer. In the ninth inning, Williams managed to advance by four goals.

Karatini had a hand in the conservation, too, by reminding Williams to keep his turn low at the higher elevation of Coors Field.

“The more the ball rolls, the less it moves here, which is completely different than anywhere else,” Williams explained. “That’s kind of what he said in you, ‘Relax and let (the ball) do what you want.'” “
