Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League has announced his retirement from the number 21 shirt worn by striker Jimmy Eriksson. He is the first player to be honored by the club.

The older brother of former Red Wings goalkeeper Jonathan Eriksson has spent his entire career in Sweden. He played 15 seasons with Skellefteå AIK, where he served as the captain of the team. Announcing his retirement in 2020, Ericsson ended his career with two SHL titles, an Olympic silver medal and a World Championship gold medal.

Jimmy and Jonathan Erickson were teammates on the 2010 Swedish team that won a bronze medal at the World Championships.
