The talented trio of No. 10 Trojans have more to show

LOS ANGELES (AP) – No. 10 Southern California has a three-headed monster in the run whose face appeared in the season opener.

Former Austin Jones Rusher Stanford had two touchdown strikers, Oregon’s Travis Day thrived protecting passes, and freshman Ralke Brown showed his athletic style. Together, they combined for 186 yards, three touchdowns on 15 coaches, and six receptions on their debut.

“We all have our part in this attack, and he’s talking about a lot of coaches being put in where the pieces fit,” Day said. “In one match, it worked out perfectly. We communicated really well.”

USC coach Lincoln Riley admitted that the trio’s workload was reduced by three interceptions brought back for touchdowns by USC (1-0) in their 66-14 win over Rice.

“It wasn’t quite like we planned,” Riley said. “I mean, I loved it. I’d take it every week.”
